Clinical bio
I believe life can be both beautiful and very challenging - sometimes in the same moment! Helping clients realize that their mental health struggles do not have to negate a meaningful, purpose-filled, hopeful life is how I translate that belief into a counseling philosophy. I specialize in working with adult and adolescent clients struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions by utilizing ACT, DBT, and some somatic practices to help them move toward the life they hope for. I have specialized training working with women experiencing difficulties with reproductive-related issues such as PCOS, PMDD/PMS, and pregnancy and perinatal mood disorders, as well as life-stage issues such as menopause. Additionally, I have training and experience working with clients struggling with emotional overwhelm and difficulty tolerating distress that shows up as anger, self-harming activities, dysfunctional relationships, difficulty managing school and work expectations, and more. Further, I enjoy working with clients in all stages of grief, either after a loss or in anticipation of one. I strive to meet each client where they are, with compassion, and a holistic perspective of care that takes into consideration the integration of their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
