Clinical bio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (#P020540) a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH-4266) practicing under the supervision of Dakia Davis, MSW, LCSW (#C012838). I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with experience working with clients of a variety of backgrounds and I am committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist work. I got both my Bachelor's and Master's degree from NC State University (Go Pack!), and have spent the past few years working with diverse client populations in different settings, including bereavement work, in-home individual and family therapy, and the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. I am now pursuing a Masters of Jurisprudence in Child Law and Policy to further strengthen my ability to advocate for policy change. There are a lot of buzzwords in therapy—CBT, DBT, ACT—and it can feel overwhelming trying to decipher what it all means. In sessions, I'll always explain exactly what we're doing and why. My approach pulls from a few different styles based on what fits you best.
