Clinical bio

Hi, I'm Jordan (she/her), LCMHCA and clinician at Unbridled Counseling & Wellness in Mooresville. I work with kids, teens, and adults. College students, however, are my favorite people to sit with. There's something about that age, figuring out who you are outside of your family for the first time, that I find genuinely energizing to be part of. I'm also especially drawn to neurodivergent folks (particularly late-identified or masked presentations in women and girls) and clients carrying trauma, CPTSD, or attachment wounds that showed up early and never really got named. My approach is DBT-informed, however I am more about figuring out what a specific person needs on a specific day. I blend it with IFS, polyvagal theory, and somatic work, because a lot of what people carry lives in the body first and the talking catches up later. I also take clients as young as 5 (I used to teach special education, so little humans don't rattle me either). Outside of sessions I'm a mom, a wife, and a big fan of travel, especially if it's on a cruise ship where I can get a little taste of different places. I'm not going to pretend I have it all figured out, because I don't think anyone actually good at this work does. I just want the person across from me to feel like a person, not a diagnosis.
