Affirming & Culturally Responsive Couples & Relationship Therapy

Gold River, California · Telehealth · In-person

Clinical bio

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience providing social work support to individuals, couples, and families navigating complex life transitions, emotional challenges, and relationship struggles. I offer a supportive, open space for healing and reconnection. I specialize in using the couples therapy and relationship counseling, with a focus on helping adults rebuild connection, repair trust, and resolve recurring conflicts. Whether you're navigating communication breakdowns or the pain of betrayal, including infidelity. Working with me, I will integrate the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which is based on evidence-based theory and interventions developed from over four decades of studying couples and a blend of psychodynamic, trauma-informed care, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal Theory informed body-based interventions, culturally responsive - specific and unique - to all of you and your relationship. As a queer, cisgender Japanese-American woman, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. I’m deeply attuned to the nuances of multicultural family dynamics, gender identity, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiversity—both personally and professionally—as a parent, co-parent, and partner.
