Clinical bio

Tracy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and professionals through life’s challenges and transitions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Tracy continued her education at the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Master of Social Work. In addition to providing clinical services, Tracy is a qualified supervisor for social work interns and is passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of social workers. She teaches courses in social work at several universities and enjoys helping students and emerging professionals develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence. Throughout her career, I have worked in a wide variety of clinical and community settings, including domestic violence services, couples counseling, advocacy, psychiatric social work, individual psychotherapy, group work, grief counseling, probation, infertility support, body image and fat-acceptance work, and substance-use services. This diverse experience allows her to approach each client as an individual and tailor treatment to their unique needs, circumstances, and goals. I also work with couples to strengthen communication, improve connection, and focus on the core of the relationship. She also enjoys working with college students as they navigate transitions, independence, relationships, academic pressures, and other new experiences. Some of my specialties are supporting other therapists and helping professionals who may need a safe, supportive space to address personal or professional challenges. I have a particular passion for grief counseling and supporting older adults as they navigate significant life transitions, changes in independence, relationships, and other challenges associated with aging. I also enjoy providing individual therapy to young adults and mature adults who are seeking support, personal growth, and meaningful change. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on empowering clients to identify their strengths and achieve their goals. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy, Task-Oriented Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is also currently in for EMDR. I believe therapy should provide clients with a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their experiences, develop practical strategies, and work toward the changes they want to make. When requested by the client, I also offers Christian-based counseling, integrating faith into the therapeutic process in a respectful and client-centered manner. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with her family, reading true-crime books and watching true-crime programs, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
