Shamaree Brissett, LPC, is the founder of [Re]Defining Relationships Therapy, PLLC, a Connecticut-based private practice specializing in relationship, intimacy, and sex therapy for couples and polycules. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Shamaree helps clients navigate communication challenges, desire discrepancies, emotional disconnection, recurring conflict, consensual non-monogamy, affair recovery, and the complexities of modern relationships. Her work is attachment-informed, culturally responsive, and affirming of LGBTQ+, BIPOC, kink, and non-traditional relationship structures. Known for her warm yet direct style, Shamaree helps clients move beyond surface-level solutions to understand the patterns shaping their relationships. She believes meaningful change happens when people learn to communicate more honestly, reconnect with themselves and one another, and intentionally create the relationships they want rather than settling for the ones they inherited. Shamaree provides virtual therapy throughout Connecticut and works with couples and polycules of up to three partners.
