Clinical bio
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in North Carolina. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) and my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. Through my training and experience, I have developed a passion for supporting the mental health and overall well-being of children, teens, young adults, couples, and families. I specialize in helping children and teens navigate challenges such as social anxiety, separation anxiety, school anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidality, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), ADHD, family separation and divorce, and college or life transitions. I also work closely with parents who want to better understand, support, and advocate for their children as they move through these challenges. In addition, I provide Reunification Therapy for parents and children, whether the process has been court-ordered or is being pursued voluntarily after a period of estrangement, parental alienation, or a significant rupture in the relationship. As a couples and family therapist, I support relationships of all kinds as they navigate difficult conversations, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen co-parenting, rebuild trust, and heal following betrayal or other relational injuries. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), systemic therapy, and attachment-based approaches. I strive to provide effective, individualized interventions while creating a warm, compassionate, and accepting space where clients feel safe to grow. I believe therapy should feel genuine, collaborative, and empowering. I bring authenticity, honesty, compassion, and a sense of humor into my work, and I'm committed to meeting you exactly where you are while helping you move toward the life and relationships you want.
