Hi! I’m Heather Strauss, PA-C, a psychiatric physician assistant and founder of Fireside Mental Health PLLC in Asheville, NC. I provide outpatient psychiatric medication management for adults ages 18 and up, with in-person appointments available in South Asheville and telehealth visits for patients located in North Carolina. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and grounded in real life. I work with adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood symptoms, trauma-related symptoms, OCD symptoms, and ADHD symptoms. My style is warm, down-to-earth, curious, and gentle. I care deeply about making medication management feel less intimidating and more like a thoughtful conversation with someone who listens, explains options plainly, and respects your autonomy. I look at the full picture, including symptoms, history, sleep, stress, relationships, identity, work, school, medical factors, and what feels realistic for your life right now. Medication can be helpful, but it is never the whole story. With your permission, I’m also happy to collaborate with your therapist or other members of your care team so your support feels connected rather than siloed.
